We had a wonderful time yet again on St. John! This is our 3rd visit to St John and our first stay at Moonswept - it was everything we wanted and more. We came for our 11th wedding anniversary and are so glad we did. We’ve tried a few places to stay on the island but I’m pretty sure we’ve found “the one” so our search is over. We were fortunate to be at Moonswept night after a full moon. One of our delights was to see the beautiful moonrise over the water for most all the nights we were here. It was a sight to behold! What a wonderful experience. We had many great snorkeling outings. Haulover Bay and Lime Tree Cove and Salt Pond Bay on the east side. Lameshur Bay and Waterlemon Cay were great for seeing sea turtles. We ate at Rhumb Lines - awesome food - and went to St. John Brewery in Cruz Bay for wonderful meals. This is truly a special place. Thank you for your hospitality.

Moonswept was just perfect for our family. Anyone reading this knows the beauty of the villa and its view! Amazingly beautiful, clean and comfortable. Our 8 and 9 year old boys loved the pool, lizards, birds and…admittedly the wifi in small does. :-) We spent much of our time exploring beaches via boat (get one with a canopy!) and Jeep. Ram Head hike was strenuous for our 8 year old especially a day after snorkeling so much but very worth it. Every beach had its own feel which was great. We saw turtles, eagle rays, stingrays, pufferfish, and so many others! Thank you for sharing this slice of paradise! Matt, Michelle and family.

We’ve been coming to the USVI for 10 plus years. This villa tops them all!! The views are unreal. The layout makes it amazingly comfortable for our family. We were able to unplug and enjoy our kids. It was heaven. We will tell all our friends for sure. Thank you for having us! The pool is unreal.

Thank you for sharing your amazing house with us. Moonswept is perfect and we will be back soon. The view was great to see while drinking coffee out on the pool deck. Our kids loved the pool. We visited Salt Pond, Trunk, Maho and Leinster Bays. Skinny Legs had the best burgers. We loved St. John!

Thank you so much Garry and Terre for sharing your beautiful home. Perfect mountain top location amazing views from the dining room and the pool deck. Loved the heated pool and hot tub! So much fun swimming with the turtles at Hansen Bay, Salt Pond, Lameshur Bay and the beautiful noth shore beaches. This island is so special as well as Moonswept Villa. Also loved having no steps to climb. Can’t wait to come back to St. John and your beautiful Moonswept Villa!

What a great week! I cannot imagine there’s a better place to stay on St. John than Moonswept. When we first walked in last Saturday, my jaw dropped at the view from the living area. And for seven days I never lost that sense of wonder. Every morning we drank in the sunrise, were refreshed by the breezes and calmed by the birdsong. My morning swims got the day off to a great start. Terre made great restaurant recommendations but grilling fresh fish from Calabash topped with simple salsa was a highlight.

We took full advantage of the island - hikes, scuba, snorkel, kayaking, time at the beach. But my one regret was waiting until Friday afternoon to visit Salt Pond Bay and Drunk Bay. Don’t make that mistake. Salt Pond Bay is, I think, the most beautiful bay we visited and Drunk Bay was thrilling.

After two days of being snowbound, we finally made it down to Paradise - St. John! It is so wonderful after enduring a pandemic, to be back at Moonswept Villa! The view is always so mesmerizing - it feels like we are in the clouds. Thank you Garry and Terre for sharing your wonderful villa! Our family loved staying here. Watching the hummingbirds by the pool is such a treat. It is so nice to finally meet you in person! We had such lovely conversations. So great for us to connect as a family in such a beautiful environment, especially after such trying times. During our stay we had some awesome highlights: hiking a grand total of 60 miles, seeing such bright clear stars (including the Southern Cross) floating in Salt Pond Bay, and so much more. You can even see Mercury, Venus and Mars in the early morning. Until next time!

How wonderful to return to Moonswept for our second visit. Not even a Nor’easter, snowstorm or COVID pandemic could keep us away! Terre and Garry…your home is as beautiful and welcoming as we remembered it. And so we enjoyed easy days by the pool, in the colorful waters of St. John and gazing at the moon and starts of the USVI from your patio. However, as memorable as this all was, the “best” of our memories and times here will be our “Country Roads” song circle together and getting to share the gift of music with Terre…What a joy! We look forward to the time we can return for a longer visit to Moonswept. Until then, may your hearts and home be blessed here…you know it’s “Almost Heaven."!

The conclusion of our third (and hopefully not the last) visit to Moonswept has happened. It was just what was needed considering all that is taking place in this crazy world. Peace, solitude, beauty, friendly people and the view that mere words cannot describe are only the beginnings of the impact this wonderful place provide. We very much look forward to our next visit.

Days and nights at Moonswept are a mix of Natural World pleasures, and nuanced touches of grace.  Unrolling a borrowed yoga mat onto the poolside tiles for morning stretches, now seems a subtropical fever dream. Sun Salutations for an audience of Frigate Birds, Kestrels, and distant Isles bristling with palms, was a daily high during my brief stay.

 The Great Room, a study in visual symmetry, offers function, and comfort, in equal measure. Bedrooms, tactfully cloistered, tastefully appointed, beckon comfort, and repose.

 The Hosts tax the superlatives. Ms.Roche and Mr.Dial, celebrated musicians in a parallel universe, also are Masters of Hospitality and Accommodation. 

Though unseen, their pitch-perfect, finely-tuned, aesthetic, diligence, and labor, infuses Moonswept with a glorious, and understated, elegance.
